real progres, that feels like real progress.
We got the primer up this weekend. Which means the plaster is all dealt with as well. Again, dont let the beginners do all of the base coat. It makes the secodn coat suck. THey were showing alot of improvement by saturday morning. I just forget how much practice it takes before you have mad plaster skillz. 8^) Good thing is the wals in both rooms dont look perfect, but they look damm good. Personally, perfect was not really the goal. Its an old house and ment to have character, perfect walls would have stood out like a sore thumb, slightly imperfect looks perfect though. 8^)

Left to do.
Sand and refinish floors
finish reglazing windows, sand fill sand and refinish them
Window and door trim, and install the windows
Paint!
Install baseboards, picture rails and crown moulding
Install the real lights.

Wow, that list used to be a heck of a lot longer than that. 8^)

Suddenly I am reminded that I need to find some average sidex baseboard heat vents. The old kind from the 30’s Though I suppose since the stuffs all open enough yet I could retro fit one of the spare old cast iron ones into place. The bigger ones from the 30s look to be able to feeed the air faster though. Not even sure what to do on this one, I dont want to mess with delivering warm air to the room in January especially this year next year with the radiant system on line I wont much care as the room will already be warm.. But this winter even with insulation and stuff the room needs help.

Ohh I should get this down before I forget, been thinking about the walls for the attic. The attic as a rule is going to be a heck of alot more contemporary/modern looking than the rest of the house. There is just no good way to hide the fact that the furniture will all be Ikea and there is that 101 inch screen dropping down from the ceiling.. So, I have this wacky idea of papering the walls with big fortune cookie fortunes. I have been collecting them for years.. I have piles of some of the wackiest fortunes around, So, I was thingking of putting down a base color and then cutting 1.5 x 4 foot pieces of while wall paper and stensiling the fortune and lucky numbers to them and putting them up in random haphazzard ways on the walls. I think it could look cool in a 80’s extreme home makeover sort of way. 8^P
